Personal usefulness and usefulness of oneself had a positive correlation with self-esteem (r=0.51, 0.52, p<0.01) and had a negative correlation with academic stress (r=-0.25, -0.28, p<0.01). Self-esteem was negatively correlated with academic stress (r=-0.32, p<0.01). As for the mediating effects of self-esteem on the relationship between resilience and academic stress, self-esteem had perfect mediating effects on the relationship between the two.
